The Time Place opened the first boutique in Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, and quickly became recognized as the right place where people could discover and experience the latest luxury timepieces such as TAG Heuer, Cartier, Piaget, Gucci, Baume & Mercier, Panerai, and Vacheron Constantin, in comfort. The Time Place designed the initial logo resembling the hand and index of a timepiece.
In February, The Time Place opened its second boutique at Plaza Indonesia. The 1,600-square-foot boutique offered the savvy shopper a new and unparalleled watch shopping experience. The boutique housed more brands offering a wider array of watches such as Zenith, and in the few following years, continued to add leading brands Rolex, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Chopard, and Audemars Piguet. The initial logo was further altered to add a more energetic character to the brand.
A new requisite destination for dedicated watch collectors and first-time buyers alike was established in Indonesia’s second largest city, Surabaya. The boutique featured additional brands such as Breitling, and Tudor. The Time Place Magazine was introduced to offer knowledge delivered right to the doorstep of the boutique’s customers. The new logo featuring a “3 o’clock” element was applied to symbolize the expertise in timepieces.
The Time Place opened the fourth multi-brand boutique located at Pacific Place, Jakarta. Designed by Laurence Howell of Indez Design, Singapore, the newest The Time Place boutique became the place to learn and revel in timepiece delight, with newcomers Roger Dubuis, A. Lange & Söhne, Breguet, and Blancpain making their debut in The Time Place. The “3 o’clock” element was removed from the logo to feature a sleeker, more modern and timeless look.
