The Excalibur Titanium Monotourbillon is the brand’s second titanium-crafted watch, and it is only available in a limited edition of 28 pieces. The Monotourbillon, which is normally found at six o’clock, is featured at seven o’clock on the skeleton dial. In addition, the upper bridge is modelled by the Celtic Cross, the bottom side has a flying tourbillon case, and the rehaut has minute markings.

The hand-decorated, internally created Calibre RD512SQ, which has a 72-hour power reserve, powers the watch. Its movement bears the Poinçon de Genève trademark, attesting to its provenance and dependability. The watch is completed with a metallic bracelet using the brand’s three-row style.

The 45mm 18K pink gold watch’s dial also has a rehaut that displays the hour markers and grey concentric 3D discs that show the minutes and seconds.

Cartier Spells Colourful Magic for Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024

At the Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024, Cartier has officially unveiled its upcoming collection. The Richemont-owned legacy jewellery company, which is further increasing its presence in the luxury watch market, releases updated classics for the contemporary world.   Privé Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph, Santos de Cartier Dual Time, Santos-Dumont Rewind, Reflection de Cartier Watch, and Animal Jewellery Watch are a few of the new models. See below all the features that each watch has to offer.

    Cartier Privé Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph

    Cartier Privé Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph
    Cartier Privé Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph

Cartier is bringing back its iconic Tortue Monopoussoir form, drawing inspiration from the late 1990s. The watch’s Journe-Flageollet-Halter movement and aid, which come in platinum and yellow gold, are its most striking features. The watch is limited edition and has an opaline dial with a grained gold or silver finish, as well as a sapphire crystal front and caseback. The innovative monopusher chronograph mechanism of the watch is only available in 200 pieces per metal and has a height of 4.3 mm. The watch is available with a red alligator leather and platinum pin buckle or a dark blue alligator leather with a yellow gold pin clasp.

    Santos de Cartier Dual Time

    Santos de Cartier Dual Time
    Santos de Cartier Dual Time

With the Santos de Cartier Dual Time, a modern take on the vintage wristwatch, agility and a sporty appearance are prioritised. True to its history as the first custom-made pilot’s watch in history, this useful dual-time watch is appropriate for any jet-setter. The watch’s innovation keeps pushing the envelope in line with Cartier’s concept of an opulent sports watch. The watch, which is the first in the Santos family to have dual time, has the recognisable Cartier Roman numerals set against the railway minute tack of a sword-shaped minutes and hours hand. The 100-meter water resistant grey dial contrasts sharply with the silver Roman numerals.

    Santos-Dumont Rewind

    Santos-Dumont Rewind
    Santos-Dumont Rewind

The Santos-Dumont Rewind is part of the Santos family’s ongoing expansion. The manually wound watch’s backward-running dial provides an unusual method of telling time. Playfulness is elevated to a new level with the unquestionably fun-focused, brilliant red watch, which comes in a striking variety. The release features a 200-piece run, although reading the backwards chronology piece can take some getting used to. The platinum casing of the 31.5mm Santos-Dumont has a sapphire front. The platinum pin buckle on the red alligator leather perfectly matches the Carnelian red sunburst dial.

    Santos-Dumont

    Santos-Dumont
    Santos-Dumont

Cartier, who is still experimenting with colour, has released three new Santos-Dumont shades.  Olive green, taupe grey, and peacock blue compliment a new trio of case materials: 18k rose gold, 18k yellow gold, and 18k platinum. Every watch has an alligator leather band with an ardillon buckle that matches the case colour. Rather than using the Roman numerals found on their predecessor timepieces, all three of these watches use Arabic numerals. Those new models are powered by an ultra-thin 430 MC calibre.

The majesty and jewellery traditions of the French house are beautifully merged in The Reflection de Cartier. The watch has been dubbed a “veritable sculpture to wear on the wrist” by Marie-Laure Cérède of Cartier. Specifically crafted to function as a hybrid bracelet and understated timepiece, the quartet of models incorporates priceless stones such as diamonds, opal, amethysts, garnets, and more to contribute to the comeback of the eye-catching accessory. The pieces are available in 18k rose gold, 18k yellow gold, and 18k white gold, with an optional gem setting. A dial made of sandblasted silver and 18k white gold is included on each item. One of the most remarkable aspects of this piece’s craftsmanship is its highly polished surface, which faces the dial and reflects light without distortion.

Gisele Bündchen Visits IWC Schaffhausen Booth at Watches & Wonders 2024

On the opening day of Watches and Wonders in Geneva, supermodel and IWC Brand Ambassador Gisele Bündchen visited IWC Schaffhausen at its booth. Chris Grainger-Herr, the CEO of IWC Schaffhausen, and Franziska Gsell, the CMO of IWC Schaffhausen, welcomed her upon her arrival.

This year at Watches and Wonders, IWC launches its new Portugieser collection. With the introduction of new design codes and complications, IWC once again showcases its expertise in fine watchmaking.

        77987.4

During her visit, Gisele, who will be part of the Portugieser campaign, toured the booth which this year is designed with the theme of “A Tribute to Eternity”. Reminiscent of the endless cycle of day and night, the booth showcases the new colours, Silver Moon, Horizon Blue, Dune and Obsidian. Each of which is uniquely reminiscent of the journey from dusk till dawn.

“It is a pleasure to be here with IWC at Watches and Wonders and see the beautiful new Portugieser collection,” states Gisele. Commenting on what “A Tribute to Eternity” means to her, she continued “Time is a special gift and using it wisely impacts what we leave behind for future generations. I chose to use my time to focus on my family, love, learning, health, and friendships.”

        77987.2

On the special occasion, Gisele wore the new Portugieser Chronograph (ref. IW371626) in Horizon Blue. The blue dial is intricately crafted and finished with 15 transparent layers, giving it a captivating visual depth. It is fitted with a gradient light blue calfstrap from Santoni and powered by the IWC-manufactured 69355 calibre.

Discover your Perfect Luxury Timepiece and Enjoy Special Privilege only at The Time Place Boutique.

Horizon Blue draws its inspiration from the serene yet vibrant blue hues of the early afternoon sky. When paired with the white-gold case, it gives the watch an underlying sense of lightness. This combination of colour and material gives the watch an elegant and refined look, making it a perfect choice for everyday use.

          77987.3

Gisele explained what particularly draws her to the Horizon blue colour, “One thing that is important to me about selecting a watch is that it matches my personal style and is versatile. The Horizon Blue sparks a sense of peace and calm when I wear it. As we all are busy with work and families, we need to remember time is precious and we must take a moment for ourselves.”

This will take shape as a limited edition of a 42mm and a 36mm, both made of steel with a stylish rubber strap – a first for the 36mm. Each version will be produced in a series of 300 rare pieces. Giving a nod to the signature gadroons on the original Piaget Polo, the dials of these two collector’s timepieces display the same stunning play of materials as their ancestor. IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Eternal Calendar

PORTUGIESER ETERNAL CALENDAR WITH MOON PHASE

This is the first secular perpetual calendar developed by IWC Schaffhausen. It automatically recognises the different lengths of the months and adds a leap day every four years at the end of February. While a perpetual calendar is programmed for a four year cycle, the Portugieser Eternal Calendar goes one step further: thanks to a new 400-year gear, it also considers the Gregorian calendar’s leap year exceptions by skipping three leap years over 400 years. In addition, its moon phase is so accurate that it will – theoretically – only deviate by one day after 45 million years.

The 41 mm-diameter case, as well as the entire dial, bezel, crown and integrated bracelet in ethical 18-carat white gold, are set with meticulously cut diamonds. Making no compromises in terms of technical expertise, this true collector’s timepiece benefits from the watchmaking savoir-faire of Chopard Manufacture embodied in the ultra-thin L.U.C 96.41-L movement, with automatic winding via a micro-rotor ensuring a 65-hour power reserve.

The DEFY Extreme Diver, which pays homage to the innovative spirit of the 1969 DEFY divers, has undergone an appealing redesign for 2024. The date window at three o’clock, large hands, and applied hour markers in blue, green, and orange are further examples of the color coordination. This model comes with the distinctive angular 37mm stainless steel case that pays homage to the original DEFY series. With a sapphire crystal inlay, the unidirectional rotating bezel now has black markings on vivid orange backgrounds, paying homage to the vintage A3648. The dial on the face carries over the black and orange motif, with matte black background with orange hands and a minute track. Additionally, the white Super-LumiNova in the hour markers and hands produces a brilliant green hue when you’re skimming around the ocean floor.

This watch maintains its remarkable 600m water resistance with ease thanks to its captivating screw-down crown, which is positioned at 4 o’clock. Additionally, you can view the complex internal mechanisms of the Elite 670 automated manufacturing movement—which has a 50-hour power reserve—thanks to its tiny diver’s design with a sapphire back. It also comes with the same five-link steel bracelet as its predecessor, which has an expandable deployment buckle that allows you to wear it over your diving attire in addition to on dry ground.

          Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph Black

The DEFY Skyline Chronograph revitalizes nostalgia by drawing from a lineage of El Primero chronographs that stretch back to the 1970s. With its cutting-edge construction and expert engineering, timekeeping has never been more awesome.

Stylish pushers perfectly match the case’s carefully sculpted lines, and the screw-down crown’s star insignia adds a touch of style while guaranteeing 100 meters of water resistance. The dial, which comes in shiny black, enticing blue, or traditional silver, is as charming as it looks. It skillfully combines the original El Primero dial design with the well-known starry sky-patterned theme, which features etched four-pointed stars.

The El Primero 3600 calibre, which boasts a 1/10th of a second function and a high frequency rate of 5Hz moves this timepiece. The mesmerizing display back of the open star-shaped oscillating weight with bidirectional winding allows for an amazing 60 hours of power reserve to ensure that time passes smoothly.

Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled an impressive collection of timepieces at this year’s Watches & Watches in Geneva. These include the captivating Duomètre Chronograph Moon, the elegant Duomètre Quantième Lunaire, the Duomètre Héliotourbillon Perpetual, and The Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar. Every model is an embodiment of the Maison’s unwavering quest to fuse the pinnacle of visual perfection with cutting-edge mechanical functionality.

          Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual

Jaeger LeCoultre Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual Watch 5

A stunning fusion of advanced mechanics and elegant design. The heart of this watch is the brand-new manual Calibre 388, which was created totally in-house. It has an amazing tourbillon that spins on three axes to create a unique “spinning top” effect, a first for the Maison. This 4Hz-beating mechanical marvel is complemented with a perpetual calendar featuring a large date display, showcasing the brand’s commitment to fusing sophistication with accuracy.

Within a redesigned pink gold case that pays homage to 19th-century savonette pocket watches, the Duomètre Héliotourbillon Perpetual combines classic style with cutting-edge technology. The 34-part case’s unique structure, which combines brushed, polished, and micro-blasted surfaces, adds to its visual appeal and harmonizes with the intricate movement inside.

          Duometre Chronograph Moon

          Duometre Chronograph Moon 2

This remarkable watch demonstrates the brand’s skill at blending technical complexity with elegant design, fusing the lyrical presentation of moon phases with the accuracy of a chronograph. The watch has a special dual-wing mechanism that ensures that the precision of its timekeeping is not compromised by the energy consumption of its complications. It is powered by the recently designed Calibre 391. This innovative model is offered in two magnificent variations: the platinum version has a copper-colored dial and a platinum case, while the pink gold version has a silver dial and a silver hand-stitched alligator strap.

The watch contains two power reserve indicators, a moon phase and night-day complication, and a manually wound mono-pusher chronograph. Its newly designed case pays homage to the brand’s 19th-century savonette pocket watches. Through the transparent case-back, the openworked dial and movement showcase the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail.

          Duometre Quantieme Lunaire

          0b5aaff0017b483308017efd0a75d0a5e74a7b6b

With a design that is slightly more contemporary, the Duomètre Quantième Lunaire represents a noteworthy advancement in its line, which is known for blending precision with technological innovation. Its modified case and eye-catching blue dial give its traditional aesthetics a modern touch. The dual-wing architecture of the Duomètre ensures maximum accuracy by separating the power supply from the complexities and timekeeping functions. This maintains consistent precision and energy flow regardless of how the complications operate.

The Duomètre Quantième Lunaire’s technical power is equal to its aesthetic appeal. Its manually wound Calibre 381 displays Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise in watchmaking. Precise one-sixth of a second timekeeping is made possible by the unique seconde foudroyante display and the deep blue opaline dial, which are embellished with a variety of ornamental finishes. From the symmetrical arrangement of its sub-dials to the sunray-brushed and opaline finishes that produce a play of light and depth, the watch’s design exhibits a careful approach.

Watches & Wonders 2024: Piaget Celebrate Their 150th Anniversary with Some Special Edition Timepiece

For Watches and Wonders 2024, Piaget celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Maison by expanding on 2023’s revival of its most iconic High Jewellery Watches signatures, coming back of their ultra thin P9 movement, and Piaget Polo couple watch. Let’s take a deeper look for each new model below.

          Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon

          piaget 2

With a diameter of 41.5mm, a guaranteed water resistance to a depth of 20 metres and a blue PVD-treated cobalt alloy case, the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon appears to possess all the features of an everyday watch. However, its 2mm thickness and its flying tourbillon take it to a different plane: this watch smashes the record for the thinnest tourbillon watch.

Set in circular motion by a bridge encircling it, the carriage of the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon completely subverts the current state-of-the-art technical principles. The signature engraved on its back, next to a sapphire crystal placed under the tourbillon, sums up the process that has driven Piaget since its beginnings.

          Swinging Sautoir

          G0A49061 SF 1 1

In 2024, Piaget unveiled three exquisite new Swinging Sautoir, two transformable to be worn on the wrist. For the first one, the artisans created the twisted gold chains by hand, meticulously crafting single strands of gold into fluid links that fall harmoniously to be anchored with the timepiece. Each Swinging Sautoir case comes in a new, softly rounded trapeze case, a nod to the shape of the cases from the original 1969 collection.

The Iconic 1970s-era colourway of blue and green is seen in a necklace of malachite and turquoise beads and flamboyantly radiating out from the diamond-paved set hand-twisted gold chain and interspersed with yellow sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds. The turquoise dialled watch is suspended from a duo of precious gemstones, an example of Piaget’s playful sensibilities.

          Cuff Watch

After the 2023 Hidden Treasures cuff was awarded by the GPHG’s Ladies Watch prize, the Maison is introducing this season another take on this icon. Here, the black opal dial swimming with iridescent greens and blues isn’t so much encased as it is revealed within its hand-made gold chain cuff, each twisted individually by hand, the goldwork seeming to grow organically over the dial, coral-like in its asymmetry. A masterclass in Piaget’s use of colour and textured gold.

          Aura

          Piaget Aura WW24 1 e1712730419456.jpeg

Now, for its 35th anniversary, the Maison celebrates this precious icon with the launch of two unique pieces set with beautiful hues of rubies, pink sapphires and diamonds. Masterful cutting and setting techniques allowed Piaget to create a face of thin rubies that radiate from the centre of the dial, the colour deep and saturated and beautifully juxtaposed with baguette-cut diamonds.

A beautiful gradient of colours effect is expertly achieved in the second variation, with the deep red of the rubies imperceptibly fading through to softest pink sapphires and diamonds via Piaget’s incredible setting savoir-faire and colour matching. In two sizes, these audacious new additions to the Aura collection are at the very pinnacle of High Jewellery and Watchmaking.

Piaget Polo Date – 150th Anniversary Edition

PIAGET POLO DATE – 150TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Maison Piaget is once again bridging the gap between past and present. For this year’s exhibition, they have struck the perfect chord between the bright gadroons of the historic Piaget Polo and the casual-chic allure of the iconic Piaget Polo Date. This will take shape as a limited edition of a 42mm and a 36mm, both made of steel with a stylish rubber strap – a first for the 36mm. Each version will be produced in a series of 300 rare pieces.

Discover your Perfect Luxury Timepiece and Enjoy Special Privilege only at The Time Place Boutique.

Giving a nod to the signature gadroons on the original Piaget Polo, the dials of these two collector’s timepieces display the same stunning play of materials as their ancestor. This Extraleganza heritage, a blend of elegance and extravagance, was also key to the decision to offer a duo of timepieces.

So which one is your favourite? Those new collection from Piaget will be available soon at The Time Place boutique. Stay tuned for more information.
