Mike Horn earned a place among the world’s greatest living explorers through his unwavering commitment to each of his historic endeavors, from trekking to the North Pole in the unrelenting darkness of winter to summiting some of the world’s highest and most difficult peaks without supplemental oxygen.

Panerai shares the explorer and environmental activist’s unwavering drive on achieving new heights. To honor his achievement, Panerai introduced the new Panerai Submersible Chrono Flyback Mike Horn Edition diving watch which is a limited edition of only 500 pieces.

The Submersible Chrono Flyback Mike Horn Edition is packed with features that can survive extreme environments, starting with a 47 mm brushed titanium case that is both light and tough. The dark blue dial is punctuated by white applied indices and bright yellow central chronograph hands, a color combination that recalls a previous model inspired by Horn, the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Pole 2 Pole Limited Edition PAM719 from 2016.

The unidirectional bezel has a hard-wearing black matte ceramic ring that gives a very readable tool for measuring immersion time, while screw-down chronograph pushers ensure outstanding water resistance.

The Submersible Chrono Flyback Mike Horn Edition is driven by the P.9100 movement, Panerai’s first automatic movement with chronograph features. It was intended as an important tool for intrepid explorers on land and water.

The flyback function, an innovative complication that allows the chronograph to reset and restart with a single push of the pusher at eight o’clock, is included in the movement, as well as a three-day power reserve. The movement is protected by a specially engraved solid case back with Mike Horn’s signature.

Switching straps with the revolutionary Panerai strap system is a straightforward process that takes just the provided interchangeability tool and a screwdriver to remove the brushed titanium trapezoidal pin clasp. The timepieces and their accessories are packaged in recycled plastic packaging, as part of Panerai’s continued commitment to ecologically friendly methods.
