The Chopard L.U.C Full Strike, which debuted in 2016, was the brand’s first minute repeater and was a watch deserving of the greatest recognition for its history, innovation, superb design, craftsmanship, and sound. Recently, Chopard introduced a limited edition of the L.U.C. Full Strike with a blue sapphire case.
The new Chopard L.U.C Full Strike Blue Sapphire is an improvement on the L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire watch that was unveiled by the company last year. It has a sapphire case and crown with an integrated minute repeater pusher.

Chopard utilized skilled craftsmen who were masters of sapphire technology to create the L.U.C Full Strike Blue Sapphire’s case, bezel, caseband, crown, case-back, and rear glass. Chromium and rare earth elements were added to the normal composition of corundum crystals to provide the necessary blue color block for sapphire.
Also constructed of sapphire, the dial has a clear view of the mechanism behind it. Eight rhodium-plated, shaped hour markers were attached to the crystal, placed from 12 to 7 o’clock, to create the chapter ring, and a railway-style minutes track was etched and painted on the crystal to ensure good readability.
A concentric power reserve indication with two hands is located at 2, one of which indicates the amount of energy remaining in the movement’s barrel and the other of which displays the amount of energy that can be given to the minute repeater by a different, dedicated barrel wound by the crown. A safety feature prohibits the release of the minute repeater when there is not enough power to run it.
The hand-wound L.U.C 08.01-L movement is Poinçon de Genève quality marked and COSC certified. It contains 533 pieces, beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph, and has a 60-hour power reserve. Chopard L.U.C Full Strike Blue Sapphire is available with a blue alligator leather strap and is limited to only 5 pieces.
