Panerai and Team Luna Rossa have been partners since 2017, lending support to the team and drawing inspiration from Luna Rossa sailing technology to create watches that encapsulate the sporty spirit of the yachting world. Both companies share a love of the marine world and are proud of their Italian heritage.

Their collaboration watch, the Luminor Luna Rossa presented a new appearance to coincide with the start of the America’s Cup race, which will be held in Barcelona in 2024.

The new Panerai Luminor Luna Rossa PAM1342 is produced in a limited edition of 1,500 pieces and offers a contemporary interpretation of maritime design. The watch comes with an unusual colour scheme of white, grey, and red that serves as its base.

A red tiny seconds hand and a grey SuperLumiNova with a green glow punctuate the matte white dial that is engraved with the Luna Rossa logo. The 44 mm stainless steel case has a polished finish that matches the polished lever and contrasts with the brushed crown protection mechanism.

This watch is powered by the manual wound calibre P.6000. The movement has a power reserve of 3 days and is fitted with a feature that pauses the balance when the winding crown is removed for improved accuracy while setting the time. The watch is water resistant to 100 metres and shielded by a sturdy case back.

Two straps are included with the Panerai Luminor Luna Rossa PAM1342: one in black rubber with a steel pin buckle and the other in grey bi-material with a red stripe with the team’s logo. A modern sporty and casual version of nautical design.

This is the perfect watch for those of you who love sailing and Italian heritage stuff. Its sporty yet modern design surely will elevate your everyday look. For more information about the Panerai collection, visit the nearest The Time Place boutique.
