The legendary Portugieser Chronograph collection, which still maintains many characteristics from its ancestors, is a timeless collection that has evolved with so many innovations. With new dial colours, IWC presents an incredibly stylish Portugieser Chronograph model with a new dial colour.

Nothing has changed regarding the specs. The stainless steel case has a diameter of 41 mm and a thickness of 13.1 mm. The caseband is brushed, while the polished piston chronograph pushers and distinctive narrow bezel are finished in two different finishes.

The dial maintains the Portugieser’s outstanding readability and simple, symmetrical layout, staying true to its origins. The two subdials are vertically arranged, with a tiny second at six o’clock and a 30-minute elapsed time counter at noon.

The Portugieser Chronograph collection is a testament to precision and craftsmanship. The classic feuille or leaf-shaped hands, hallmark numerals, and quarter-second scale printed on the inner flange ensure high-precision chronograph readings, a hallmark of IWC’s commitment to quality.

A stainless steel case complements the new colour, Dune Beige. Before the colour is applied, the intricately produced brass base of the dial is given a sunburst finish radiating from the centre. The dial is then shielded by fifteen layers of clear lacquer and highly polished.

The two totalisers are nailed, coated, and then machined into the brass. Meanwhile, the hands are plated in gold and have solid gold appliques, which match the case really well. A black alligator strap is fitted with a steel butterfly clasp to complete the timepiece.
